Wrap Around Care at The Vine Schools

We are delighted to launch Wrap Around Care for children across The Vine Schools from 1 December 2025. The service takes place at Somerfords’ Walter Powell Primary School and is open to children from Seagry and Christian Malford too, with transport provided at the end of the school day.

Our aim is simple: to offer a safe, nurturing and enjoyable environment where children can relax, explore and thrive after school.

Times & Pricing

• 3:15 – 4:15 (fun session only) – £6

• 3:15 – 5:45 (full session) – £12

All children are collected from SWP at 5:45. A small snack is provided.

What to expect

Activities vary across the week and bring together creativity, wellbeing and teamwork. A typical week might include:

• Seasonal craft projects (wreath making, bird feeders, pinecone crafts)

• Baking and decorating (including festive treats)

• Construction challenges such as Lego marble mazes

• Art workshops (bauble design, paper craft, snowflake creations)

• Outdoor exercise and group games

• Quiet time towards the end of the session for reading, a short film or story

Children attending only the first hour will take part in a focused activity designed to be fun, energetic and engaging.

Who leads the provision?

Wrap Around Care is led by Mrs Nina Marshall. She is trained in safeguarding and first aid, and carefully plans sessions that are safe, age-appropriate and enriching.

• Wrap Around Care is part of Somerfords’ Walter Powell and The Vine Schools and therefore sits under the schools’ existing Ofsted registration

• Childcare vouchers are accepted

• All places must be booked in advance

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club runs from 7:45 am every day at each school and is led by a member of staff. The cost is £4.50 per child and includes breakfast. Sessions must be pre-booked via Parentmail. Please contact the school office for more information.

Please note that school gates open at 8:30 am, but children must be supervised by parents until classroom doors open at 8:45 am.
