As the school is a DBAT academy, the Local Board has delegated authority to set the admissions arrangements for the school and, following consultation, has set the policy for the September 2018 intake (please see below).
The admissions process can be daunting if it’s the first time you’ve encountered it so please ring contact Mrs Law or Miss Johns on 01249 720797 if you have any questions.
The majority of school applications are now done online, although a paper application can also be downloaded from the Wiltshire Council website. If you do not have access to a computer and printer please call us on and we would be happy to download one for you.
For children starting school in September 2017 the deadline for applications was midnight on 15 January 2017.
Parents of children wishing to change schools during the school year can also download the appropriate form from the Wiltshire Council website. The Admissions Department at Wiltshire Council can be contacted for advice on 01225 713010 or email them at email@example.com. You can also read their online help here.
We are able to take a maximum of 12 children to the first year of entry in any academic year. This is based on the physical capacity of the School and will only be exceeded in exceptional circumstances. Please see the admissions policy below for information regarding selecting pupils who apply and our oversubscription criteria.
Children are entitled to a full-time place in the September following their fourth birthday. However, there are some circumstances in which parents can seek a place for their child outside of their normal age group, In addition, from 2015, parents of a summer born child have been able to choose not to send that child to school until the September following their fifth birthday. All applications for children requesting admission outside their normal age group will be processed as outlined in Wiltshire Council’s Co-ordinated Admissions Scheme, which has been drafted in line with the School Admissions Code. Any objections to the latest policy (if you think it is unlawful or does not comply with the School Admissions Code) should be made to the School Adjudicator by 15 May 2017.
